PERLA LICHI DESIGN
ALL THAT SHINES By Perla Lichi.
The luxuriously upholstered dining room chairs surround a bespoke table, topped with silver and bronze edged mirror inserts. "I want to focus on the details," says interior designer Perla Lichi, who explains that, although with dramatic draping, she maintains the sobriety of the window fabrics.
ALTHOUGH NOWADAYS, BEING FASHIONABLE USUALLY MEANS INDUSTRIAL, sober, monochromatic... With prominent, angular lines and furniture, there are still those who argue that beauty is anything but.
That was the aesthetic sought by a Guyanese family who described to interior designer Perla Lichi the timeless, classic, and utterly luxurious vision they had for their 15,000-square-foot estate, which would be both an entertainment center and their home in Guyana.
Lichi is a designer who has made "palace style" her hallmark. It has built relationships with manufacturers and artisan workshops around the world to create handcrafted pieces, from pietra dura floors to hand-chiseled mouldings and bespoke wallpapers with embedded crystals.
Its woods come from Brazil, Ecuador and Indonesia; the crystal of Dubai; and the marble of Italia. No it is surprising that the owners, who were looking for a regal opulence to receive their guests, found in Lichi the perfect option.
In short, a palatial creation, inspired by the past and updated in the present, which demonstrates how a great vision can inspire both the hand and the soul......... BE part of the SUCCESS!
