Vacation and timeshare industry leaders will analyze the future of the Mexican Caribbean sector

Cancún, Q. Roo (November, 2021) The Mexican Caribbean, a leading destination in the vacation and timeshare industry, will host the GNEX-ACOTUR Conference for the first time, from November 30 to December 1, with the participation of executives of the highest level to analyze the impact of the pandemic, success stories and the future of this sector in Mexico and the world.



The objective of the tourist meeting is to strengthen commercial relations and create strategic alliances between the main players in this industry through networking meetings and conferences that will highlight the challenges and perspectives of this sector at an international level and where Mexico remains the second most important country globally, behind only the United States.



“We are very proud to form a strategic alliance with Perspective Group, which organizes the renowned Global Networking Experience Conference (GNEX), to create for the first time a collaborative event of the highest level in the best tourist destination in Mexico. and Latin America. We are sure the meeting will fulfill its objective of being a successful platform for doing business ”, commented Alberto Solís Martínez, President of the Association of Vacation and Tourist Complexes (ACOTUR), a group considered one of the most important in Mexico with 35 members and business partners , which represent 101 hotels with 38,300 rooms in southeastern Mexico and 15,000 in the Caribbean.



On Tuesday, November 30, the opening ceremony will be held at the Ritz Carlton Cancun where different networking activities and conferences will take place, including a round table with industry leaders where trends will be addressed, the unprecedented impact of the coronavirus pandemic in the travel industry, what they did to adapt, what worked, and what the future holds.


The panel will be made up of Jorge Herrera, Managing Director of Unlimited Vacation Club; Rinaldo Fernández, President of the Global Travelers Club Division of Karisma Hotels & Resorts; Gerardo Rioseco, Chief Loyalty Officer of Posadas; Alain Grangé, from the Grangé Group; Jason Gamel, President & CEO of ARDA and Paul Mattimoe, President & CEO of Perspective Group.



On Wednesday, December 1, the ACOTUR Panel will be held, which will focus on the example of the Riviera Maya and how loyalty programs have helped the recovery of the vacation industry, with the participation of the President of the association, Alberto Solís ( Apple Leisure Group); Anna Kiseleva, member of the group (Sunset World & Resorts); Eliana Jones (Mexico DC by Xcaret), Raúl Alonzo (CircleOne by BlueBay) and Guillermo Muhech, Executive Director of ACOTUR.


That same day, Alejandro Zozaya, the former Executive President of Apple Leisure Group (ALG), will present a presentation on loyalty vacation programs and their relevance in creating value for hotels and management companies, in which he will address a trip of over 50 years through the recent acquisition of ALG by Hyatt Hotels Corporation.



Prior to the first day of conferences, the 1st. GNEX-ACOTUR Golf Tournament, at the Iberostar Golf Club.
