TAG AIRLINES MAKES ITS FIRST FLIGHT CANCÚN-GUATEMALA

This flight will benefit not only tourists traveling in both countries, but also businessmen.

Cancun, Quintana Roo, August 26, 2021.- The Guatemalan company TAG Airlines began operations in Mexico with its first flight on the Guatemala-Cancun-Guatemala route, which strengthens air connectivity between the two countries.

“Today is a historic day for TAG Airlines, as this flight is a decisive step for the international expansion of the company, which will boost development and tourism. We know that we are living in difficult times, but with teamwork between authorities and the private sector, we will move forward ”, said Julio Gamero, CEO of the airline.

It was noted that Cancun is the main sun and beach tourist destination in Mexico and Latin America, this without neglecting that it is also an attraction for entrepreneurs and their investments.

The new route serves the following itinerary with four weekly frequencies:

FLIGHT 200: Origin in Guatemala to Cancun, frequency: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday with hours from 10:00 a.m. to 1:10 p.m.

Flight 201: Origin in Cancun bound for Guatemala, frequency: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 2:10 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.

The inaugural flight of the route was received at the Cancun International Airport with the traditional water arch and a solemn ceremony that had the participation of authorities from Guatemala and Mexico.

TAG Airlines has been a 100 percent Guatemalan company for 50 years and currently operates 27 daily flights in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Belize and now in Mexico, with a modern fleet of more than 20 aircraft.
