D'Casa Destinations; The Mayan Train will depart from Cancun


The Secretary of Tourism Miguel Torruco Marqués announced that through the Cancun Airport, it will be distributed to visitors for the Mayan train and it will have a station in Puerto Morelos.


The secretary of tourism gave details about the progress and construction of the Mayan train and explained that the main beneficiaries will be tourists since they will be able to visit beautiful points of the Caribbean, with a station in Playa del Carmen and from which they can visit Cozumel.

It also mentions that the visitor will have the opportunity to visit the Archaeological Zone thanks to its station in Tulum and that stands out, it will be the only station facing the sea.




The tour will continue in Felipe Carrillo port and visitors will be able to visit the oldest villages in the state of Quintana Roo. After this but before reaching Chetumal, visitors will be able to enjoy Bacalar and explore the lagoon of seven colors.


Something that Torruco highlighted is that the Mayan Train is the most innovative project that the current government has undertaken and will give the opportunity to connect the region with quality services.

He also pointed out that the Mayan train will connect the States of Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Campeche, Chiapas and Tabasco and that it will provide visitors with an adventure through the most iconic places of the states along its 1500 km route.


"The connectivity of its 19 stations will allow tourists to visit any of the entities of the Mayan Train route, with the opportunity to opt for a trip and a stay according to their motivations, such as Cultural Tourism, Nature Tourism or complement their activities after a stay for business", said.



Finally, he commented that this tour can be done in any direction with its 62 options to visit the most important Mayan regions providing one to three nights of tour.
